The Next Tuesday Podcast

How do you manage all of the roles and responsibilities of your life? This week we integrate Sarah Finger's wisdom into our lives. Sarah is the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga in NYC and Deepak Chopra's private yoga teacher.

This conversation considers yoga as a way of being, feeling, and participating in our lives. Sarah explains the dual meaning of ISHTA yoga as the acronym: The Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda; and, sharing its overarching meaning: "that which resonates with the individual spirit." We learn that ISHTA is the studio that welcomes all beings and is inclusive of everyone.

Sarah teaches us to learn to have compassion for ourselves both on and off the mat and to love the process, wherever we find ourselves: personally, professionally, and spiritually. She reminds us that it is sometimes the messiness of everything that facilitates our crystallization. We discuss the practice of yoga versus the business of yoga and the importance of learning to say "NO," set boundaries and communicate clearly. AND, we discuss the necessity of switching out of biz mode and prioritizing quality time with our loved ones.

In addition to learning about Sarah's experience as a business owner and a yogini, we also listen as she shares her insight and growing awareness via motherhood. We hear Sarah's love for her family and her desire for children to recognize their endless possibility and potential. Kids are unlimited, as we can be when we connect to the divine intelligence of the universe and get out of our heads.
